Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.
Hill House Home founder and CEO Nell Diamond and her husband Teddy Wasserman are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this Friday, October 18th. (For those wondering, the 10th anniversary go-to gift is tin or aluminum in honor of the strength and resilience of the marriage. Care for a Diet Coke, anyone?)
The New York City-based couple exchanged vows a decade ago today at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and it is still of one the venue’s most memorable weddings—alongside Sofia Richie Grainge’s 2023 celebration. In honor of this major milestone and Hill House’s Tartan Capsule dropping on Over The Moon today, Nell is looking back at her wedding and sharing new, exclusive images, as well as her favorite Over The Moon pieces, for our Dream Registry series.
In the early aughts, Nell and Teddy met at a friend’s birthday party at a nightclub in New York City. They started dating shortly thereafter, and two years later, Teddy got down on one knee and asked Nell to marry him in Venice’s St. Mark’s Square.
Once engaged, they started planning their multi-day destination wedding in the South of France. For the Nap Dress-creator’s wedding wardrobe, the bride enlisted the help of her friend designer Olivier Theyskens to make her custom, larger-than-life ceremony dress. “It’s my favorite thing I’ve ever worn,” she reflects. Rumor has it the dress needed its own room!
A decade after walking down the (very long) aisle, Nell describes her aesthetic as “feminine and always a little overdressed.” Interestingly, when it comes to interiors, Nell is more of a minimalist. “I don’t like clutter, so I tend to be focused on one-in-one-out. If I bring in a new piece of decor, the old one’s got to go. . . And anything I don’t like, I put in [Teddy’s] office,” she laughs.
So where does someone whose brand has such a clear identity turn to for interior design inspiration? “I’m always looking at Rebecca Gardner, Cece Barfield Thompson, Mark Sikes, Virginia Tupker, Victoria Hagan, and so many more,” Nell reveals. “I love stumbling upon someone’s Instagram and going on a deep dive.”
For Nell’s Dream Registry, she was drawn to mixing Ginori 1735 and Laboratorio Paravicini dinnerware together, along with Matilda Goad & Co. flatware. “I love colorful fun pieces with personality, especially in table settings,” she shares. “That’s where I can really let my freak flag fly.”
Nell leaves us with key advice for those curating their Over The Moon Registries: “Don’t take it too seriously. Pick things that jump off the page to you. Good taste is above all personal. There is no right or wrong.”
